He played cricket for Western Australia, and Australian rules football for the West Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football Association (WAFA). He later served as president of the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and chairman of the Australian Football Council (AFC). ==Career== Born in Perth, Western Australia, Moffatt played a number of games for Victorians (later Metropolitans and West Perth) in the WAFA, and later umpired a number of matches.
